Pork Chop with Soy Sauce Citrus Glazed
This Filipino dish is a pork version of bistek tagalog. I learned this recipe from my mother! A delicious way to cook pork chop.

For Pan-fried Pork Loin Chop
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 580 grams (2 pieces), Australian pork loin chop
For the Sauce
- 3 big cloves garlic, chopped
- ⅛ cup salt reduced soy sauce
- 2 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice or calamansi juice
- 1 piece medium red onion, sliced to rings
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 cup salt reduced pork broth
- 1 tablespoon
To Serve:
- spring onion, sliced
- steamed rice or 👉Garlic Fried Rice
- 👉Sunny Side Up Fried Egg
- Make cuts in the fat rind so they lay flat instead of curling up.
- 👉 Pan fry the pork chop and set aside.
- Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the garlic in a medium-high heat until soft.
- Add soy sauce, pork broth, lemon juice.
- Season with freshly ground black pepper.
- Stir and simmer with cover for 20 minutes. Reduce the sauce
- Add the pork chop.
- Remove the cover and add the sliced onion. Cook for at least 3 minutes or to your liking.
- Transfer to a serving plate.
- Serve warm!
