Pork Chop with Soy Sauce Citrus Glazed

This Filipino dish is a pork version of  bistek tagalog. I learned this recipe from my mother! A delicious way to cook pork chop.

Ingredients


For Pan-fried Pork Loin Chop

  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 580 grams (2 pieces),  Australian pork loin chop


For the Sauce
  • 3 big cloves garlic, chopped
  • ⅛ cup salt reduced soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice or calamansi juice
  • 1 piece medium red onion, sliced to rings
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 cup salt reduced pork broth
  • 1 tablespoon







To Serve:









Method
  1. Make cuts in the fat rind so they lay flat instead of curling up.
  2. 👉 Pan fry the pork chop and set aside.
  3. Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the garlic in a medium-high heat until soft.
  4. Add soy sauce, pork broth, lemon juice.
  5. Season with freshly ground black pepper.
  6. Stir and simmer with cover for 20 minutes. Reduce the sauce
  7. Add the pork chop.
  8. Remove the cover and add the sliced onion. Cook for at least 3 minutes or to your liking.
  9. Transfer to a serving plate.
  10. Serve warm!
