Pan-Fried Pork Chops
One of the simplest ways to cook pork chop is pan-frying.
Serves: 2
Ingredients
- 2 pieces Australian pork chop, 500 grams
- iodised salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
Method
- Let the pork chops out of the fridge for at least 30 minutes, before cooking so they come to near room temperature.
- Season the pork chops with iodised salt on both sides.
- Heat extra virgin olive oil in the large frying pan over medium-high heat, swirl the pan to coat.
- Place the pork chops in the pan and fry for 5-7 minutes on each side, depending on the thickness. Cook until golden brown all over. (Note: For an even golden brown color, turn the meat frequently with tongs.)
- Take the pan off the heat.
- Transfer the pork chops on a plate and let it rest for a final 2 minutes before serving.
Praise ye the Lord. O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
