Baked Bone-In Half Leg Ham with Pineapple and Cherry

So moist, tender and delicious holiday baked ham during our Christmas lunch 2021. Perfect to share with your family and friends during holiday season!




Ingredients
  • 1 Bone In Half Leg Ham
  • 30 to 40 pieces whole cloves
  • 1 can Del Monte Pineapple Sliced in Syrup (567 grams net wt.), drained and reserve syrup
  • 1 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup pineapple syrup
  • Winn Glace Cherries




Method
  1. Remove the skin of the ham.
  2. Score the surface with shallow diagonal cuts, making diamond shapes.
  3. Insert cloves into diamonds.
  4. Place ham in roasting pan.
  5. Cover and bake at 163°C for 1 ½ hour.
  6. Combine brown sugar and pineapple syrup, mixed thoroughly and pour over ham.
  7. Arrange the sliced pineapple and glace cherries on ham.
  8. And pour more pineapple glaze in all over.
  9. Put it back to oven. And bake, uncovered for 30 to 45 minutes. (Note: Quickly glaze the ham with the drippings or excess prepared pineapple glaze every 20 minutes.)
  10. Serve warm.
