Slow Cooker Lamb Forequarter Chop Stew

 A less expensive lamb forequarter chop with a slow cooking technique using slow cooker is a money saver.

2 Servings 

INGREDIENTS 
  • 513 grams lamb forequarter chop (2 pieces)
  • 400 grams (1 can) Diced Italian Tomatoes (No Salt)
  • Boquet garni (fresh thyme, fresh bay leaves and fresh parsley)
  • 2 pieces precook medium sized carrot (sliced diagonally)
  • 5 pieces precook baby potato (whole)
  • 1 /2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 piece white onion (thinly sliced)
  • 2 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 1 piece Massel Beef Stock Cube (crushed)
  • 1 cup water

METHOD

  1. In a big bowl , add all ingredients and mix, then put into the a large 6.5 liter slow cooker.
  2. Cover and cook for 45 minutes in high then turn into low for 2 hours and 15 minutes. (Note: extend 1 hour to 2 hours if you like the meat to be very tender)
  3. Serve hot.
