Tapang Taal
Taal tapa is a pork marinated in soy sauce, lots of garlic, and calamansi and simply fried.
Ingredients
- ½ kilogram pork houlder, sliced in tapa style (thin slices) or sliced into bite size
For the Marinade
- ½ cup soy sauce
- 7 large cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- ⅛ cup calamansi juice
- 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoon brown sugar
- cooking oil, for frying
To Serve:
- steamed rice
- garlic fried rice
- sunny side up eggs
- atchara (pickled papaya)
- fresh tomatoe, sliced
- fresh cucumber, sliced
Method
- Slice the pork in tapa style (thin slices) or bite size and place it in a deep bowl. Set aside
- In a bowl place all the marinate ingredients. Mix well until well combine.
- Pour the prepared marinade into the meat and massage well. Cover and place it in the fridge for overnight.
- Remove the tapa from the fridge.
- Drain the meat from the marinade.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium high then place the pork tapa and you can add some of the marinade sauce if you like. Cook until brown on both sides.
- Serve warm.
