Adobo Chicken Wing Nibbles
The ingredients in Philippine adobo are native to Southeast Asia, like cane or coconut vinegar, soy sauce, black peppercorns and bay leaves. A tasty adobo chicken wing nibbles in one pan!
Serves: 4 to 6
Ingredients
- 1.5 kilograms chicken wings, cut into nibbles
- 8 cloves of garlic, crushed
- 1 teaspoon black peppercorns, crushed
- ½ cup soy sauce
- ½ cup rice vinegar
- 5 pieces fresh bay leaves
- ½ teaspoon chili flakes
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
To Serve:
- steamed rice
- boiled egg
- Cut the chicken wings into nibbles. Please click the video 👉 How to Cut Chicken Wings. Set aside. Note: In this recipe I used the wing tips or save it for stock.
- Meanwhile, in a mortar and pestle, crush the garlic and peppercorns. Set aside.
- In non-reactive deep pan, add the chicken wing nibbles, garlic, soy sauce, rice vinegar, bay leaf, peppercorn, chili flakes and brown sugar.
- Bring to a boil, then simmer and covered for 15-20 minutes.
- Remove the cover and allow to boil for additional 10 to 20 minutes and stir gently. Cook until the sauce is reduced enough.
- Serve warm!
