Beef Sizzle Steak Cheese Sandwich in Turkish Bread


Delicious, affordable and easy to make steak sandwich!

Ingredients


  • 160 grams Australian beef sizzle steak, 2 pieces
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 to 2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter for cooking
  • 1 piece small white onion - chopped
  • ½ teaspoon garlic, chopped
  • ½ medium red capsicum, thinly sliced
  • ½ medium green capscium, thinly sliced
  • 2 Turkish bread
  • butter , for spreading
  • 2 pieces, sandwich cheese slice (individual)
  • barbeque sauce
  • sriracha sauce (optional)








To Serve: hot chips







Method


  1. Season the beef sizzle steaks with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the oil in the pan on medium-high and cook beef sizzle steaks for 2 minutes. Set aside and keep warm.
  3. In the same pan add butter in a medium frying pan over medium high heat. Add garlic,onion, bell pepper and cook. Stirring occasionally, for 15 minutes or until caramelised. Season with salt and pepper. Transfer to a bowl. Cover to keep warm. Set aside.
  4. Slice the Turkish bread lengthwise and spread a butter on the top. Lay it in the baking tray and put in the oven grill until light brown.
  5. Assemble the sandwich. First, lay the cooked garlic, onion and capsicum in the bread. Then add the cooked sizzling steak and top with the cheese. Lastly, squeeze a barbecue sauce or sriracha sauce and close the sandwich.
  6. Serve warm!
