Delicious, affordable and easy to make steak sandwich!
- 160 grams Australian beef sizzle steak, 2 pieces
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 to 2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter for cooking
- 1 piece small white onion - chopped
- ½ teaspoon garlic, chopped
- ½ medium red capsicum, thinly sliced
- ½ medium green capscium, thinly sliced
- 2 Turkish bread
- butter , for spreading
- 2 pieces, sandwich cheese slice (individual)
- barbeque sauce
- sriracha sauce (optional)
To Serve: hot chips
Method
- Season the beef sizzle steaks with salt and pepper.
- Heat the oil in the pan on medium-high and cook beef sizzle steaks for 2 minutes. Set aside and keep warm.
- In the same pan add butter in a medium frying pan over medium high heat. Add garlic,onion, bell pepper and cook. Stirring occasionally, for 15 minutes or until caramelised. Season with salt and pepper. Transfer to a bowl. Cover to keep warm. Set aside.
- Slice the Turkish bread lengthwise and spread a butter on the top. Lay it in the baking tray and put in the oven grill until light brown.
- Assemble the sandwich. First, lay the cooked garlic, onion and capsicum in the bread. Then add the cooked sizzling steak and top with the cheese. Lastly, squeeze a barbecue sauce or sriracha sauce and close the sandwich.
- Serve warm!
