Equipment:
- Slow cooker, 6.5 liter
- Fat separator
Ingredients
- 500 grams Australian Osso Buco or Shin-Bone In, 2 pieces
- 2 pieces washed large potatoes, peeled and quartered
- 1 piece onion, quartered
- 1 stalk celery, trimmed and sliced
- 8 pieces beans, trimmed
- 1/4 cabbage, quartered
- 1/2 tablespoon Saxa Blended Peppercorns
- 1 liter water
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 2 pieces Continental Beef Stock Pot, dissolved in 1 liter boiling water
To Serve
- spicy fish sauce
- steamed rice
Method
- Place the pieces of osso buco osso buco, onion, celery, potatoes, blended peppercorns, prepared beef stock pot and water in the slow cooker. Slow cook in high for 5 hours.
- After 2 hours (approx.) of slow cooking, remove the impurities on the surface of the soup. Close the lid and continue cooking.
- After 4 hours of slow cooking. Remove the fats in the surface of the soup using fat separator as much as you could.
- Season with fish sauce, then add cabbage. Close the lid and continue cooking for 1 hour.
- Serve hot with steamed rice!
