Fig Jam

Fig is an ancient fruit, the earliest plant that man cultivated.

  • 352 grams figs
  • 281 grams brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 piece of freshly squeezed lemon (small size)

  1. Cut the figs into slices.
  2. In a pan put the water and boil gently until the fruit is soft.
  3. Add the brown sugar and lemon juice, stirring well to prevent sticking.
  4. Boil gently until thick and reaches the jell point.
  5. Pour into sterilized jar.
