Baked Bone-in Ham with Pineapple


This is our first attempt of baking one whole bone-in ham leg for our 2018 New Years Eve. My husband and I love it!



INGREDIENTS
  • 1 fully cooked bone-in ham (2.72 kg to 3.63 kg)
  • whole cloves
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup pineapple juice
  • 1 can Dole (432 grams net wt.) sliced pineapple, drained
  • Winn Glace Cherries
METHOD
  1. Remove the skin.
  2. Score the surface with shallow diagonal cuts, making diamond shapes.
  3. Insert cloves into diamonds.
  4. Place ham in roasting pan.
  5. Cover and bake at 163 C for 1 1/2 hour.
  6. Combine brown sugar and pineapple juice, mixed thoroughly and pour over ham.
  7. Arrange the sliced pineapple and glace cherries on ham.
  8. Put it back to oven. And bake, uncovered for 30 to 45 minutes.
